Teena was always kind and considerate to others. She would so often put others before herself. I was amazed that someone with so much success and notoriety didn't ever lose their way in all of it. I've never heard her speak down to anyone. She told me she wanted to use her voice to bring people of all races together. She was really passionate about doing more than making music. She wanted to turn so much hate to love. She wanted to bring people together in song and celebration. I will always honor her for this. It is rare to see someone of exceptional talent seek more than fame and fortune. I will always appreciate this about her. Teena, I will always miss you. May you rest in peace.
